Transcription Modes, Explained

Wavetype offers three transcription modes, each tuned for a different balance of speed and accuracy.

Cheetah — fastest

Cheetah transcribes 1 hour of audio in about 30 seconds. It's tuned to deliver a transcript as fast as possible.

Dolphin — balanced

Dolphin delivers very high accuracy while staying fast — about 3 minutes per hour of audio.

Whale — maximum accuracy

Whale is tuned for maximum accuracy using the largest Whisper model. It's the default mode and transcribes 1 hour in under 10 minutes.
